Halberd was founded in Austin, Texas in 2018 by a sub-elite runner who could not find the right spikes. The first season was twelve pairs of track shoes, hand-finished on a kitchen table. The second season was a small order from a college team. The third season was a category.

Today Halberd makes shoes across three lines: Pro for the track, Wild for the trail, and Lifestyle for everywhere in between. The thread connecting all of them is the same: performance DNA, no compromise on fit, and an obsession with the runners we make them for.
